CivicScience is once again partnering with AXS TV — and joined this year by Billboard magazine — to find out how well consumers can predict the winners for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ GRAMMY® Awards being aired on Sunday, February 8.
It’s not an undertaking for the faint of heart, as the GRAMMY®s are notoriously difficult to predict, as those of you who followed our efforts last year recall. But here we go again — and the emphasis this year will be on consumers as predictors and discovering attributes about the better predictors among them.
First, let’s make you a voter too!

How We’re Doing It
CivicScience is using our proprietary methodology, baked into our InsightStore™ real-time consumer research platform, for polling consumers about the GRAMMY® winners in the major awards categories. We’ll be asking voters to say who they think will win vs. who they want to win. Polling data collected from late December 2014 up to show air time will be included in the analysis. We’ll also be collecting some core demographic data and gauging their overall interest in music, allowing our data scientists to further segment and profile the “better predictors” vs. the general population.
This year we expect that over 100,000 respondents will be included in our analysis thanks to polls distributed through Billboard, AXS TV, and of course CivicScience’s network of hundreds of web publishing partner sites.
Disclaimer: The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences is not a participant in this project, and inclusion of their name and the GRAMMY® name do not in any way imply an endorsement by them.
