As the holidays draw nearer, Americans have more on their minds than ever before. With the looming pandemic and concerns of the Omicron variant, consumers are again becoming less comfortable with the day to day. 

Concern about being in public spaces has been gradually increasing in the last month, up five percentage points since the first week of November.

While comfort returning to normal activities remains high compared to this time last year, this week we observe a slight decrease in comfort since early November (coinciding with increasing concern about being in public spaces).

All Eyes on Omicron

Despite continued reports of rising Delta cases throughout the country driving ICU bed shortages in some regions, overall concern about the Delta variant is on the decline as news of the Omicron variant takes center stage.
