After hitting a four-month low point in the first full week of the new year, CivicScience’s ongoing COVID Comfort Index has now risen for the third straight week. That includes steady gains in the percentage of Americans comfortable with eating out at restaurants, which has grown from 59% to 63% over the past month. Another big reason for the Index’s turnaround? Comfort with attending large public events (concerts, etc.) has gradually improved as well – that metric rose from 38% at the start of the year to 43% now.
