Starbucks has been a longstanding leader in the coffee industry; however, recent reports suggest the coffee giant is losing its edge. Over the years, increased competition, rising prices, and upticks in wait lines have all contributed to fewer people ordering from Starbucks. On top of that, the coffee drinker today is more price-conscious than ever, and Starbucks is drawing less interest than other QSRs in the value meal wars.

Answer our Polls: How often do you go to Starbucks?

This decline in Starbucks sales aligns with CivicScience’s ongoing tracking, which shows that the percentage of consumers who view Starbucks favorably has dropped to an all-time low of 29%. However, it’s important to note that despite this decline, Starbucks still maintains a higher favorability rating than other major coffee chains like Dunkin’ and McCafe, both of which are also declining in favorability.

So how can Starbucks attract customers? CivicScience’s database of over 150K crossable questions shows how the coffee giant can hone in on potential customers and win them over.
