With the new school year just beginning for many, Americans’ comfort with most everyday activities held steady from last week. The week of Aug. 29 saw small increases in the percentages of U.S. adults who are comfortable eating out at restaurants and shopping at retail stores.
About two-thirds of U.S. adults now say they are (or would be) comfortable going to work or shopping right away. Slightly fewer said they’d be willing to eat out right now. And less than half of Americans say they’d be comfortable traveling, going to a movie theater, or attending a large public event (concert, etc.) right now.
