As the second year of schooling during a pandemic starts, one reason for declining concern could be parents’ fairly high satisfaction levels with safety measures at schools this year.
One of the arguably more risky activities – going to major events – saw increased levels of comfort within this past week.
The story is similar here – parents seem to be a driving force behind increased comfort this week.
In fact, it’s specifically parents with school-aged, vaccine-eligible children who are more likely to feel comfortable going to a concert, festival, or sporting event. Parents of older children – who likely no longer live at home – are the least comfortable.
