Since discovering that 50% of those following the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) story thought construction should stop, we’ve continued to track sentiment around this heated conflict. A graph showing that awareness of the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) conflict is growing.

Last time we asked this question, 22% of respondents said they had not been following the controversy in Standing Rock. Now that number is down to 17%. In other words, awareness of the conflict is growing.

For many new stories, sensation seems to fade after only a few weeks, but this seems to be different. With the ongoing developments surrounding Standing Rock, this may not be an issue that dissolves anytime soon.
