CivicScience’s COVID Comfort Index jumped two and a half points to 64.5 this week, after stalling out for the previous three readings. This new six-month high in the index is despite increased concern about new coronavirus variants.

The rise was due to notable increases in comfort shopping in stores, eating in restaurants, traveling, and going to public events and to the movies; rising two points or more respectively. Going to the movies saw the biggest increase of four points. Going back to work rose only one point this week. Check out our COVID Check-In infographic for more details.

Drop by again on Wednesday, April 6 for the next check-in.
