With record-breaking sales, “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” the newest installment in the acclaimed franchise, has taken the gaming world by storm. As this highly successful game continues to captivate players, it has the potential to generate heightened interest in the Nintendo Switch, the only platform the game is playable on.

But how does the console currently fare among consumers? According to CivicScience data, 16% of U.S. adults currently own a Nintendo Switch. Additionally, 7% of respondents express the intention to acquire one in the future. Still, even with the release of the new “Legend of Zelda” game,  70% state that they neither possess a console nor have any interest in purchasing one.
